About Us

Ryan Clymer Principal FCA

Welcome to the website of FCA!   I am Ryan Clymer, the
Administrator of the Academy. I believe that we, as Christians, are to hold ourselves to a higher standard, especially in the area of education.  Preparing students for future service for Christ and allowing them to reach their potential are two things for which educators should strive. Our academic programs are established to equip students for post secondary success while building character, which in turn will develop strong leadership qualities, allowing students to positively impact society.

Here at FCA,  we have an academic focus with a biblical philosophy.  I think this is best summarized by the following quote from a respected friend and college professor, Dr. Charles Murphy:  "On the rocky and sometimes fearsome path one travels between being a 'pupil' and being a 'student' it is essential to grasp the awesome fact that truth never fears a challenge, and to realize that as Christians we possess the liberty to challenge the existing order of things through critical analysis, and are charged with the responsibility to become the creative, thinking opinion leaders that this world desperately needs."

I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about our institution.  As you consider the investment you will make in your child, let me challenge you with this provoking thought:

Could I climb to the highest place in Athens, I would lift my voice and proclaim, "Fellow citizens, why do you turn and scrape every stone to gather wealth and take so little care of your children to whom one day you must relinquish it all?"  -Socrates

Mission

Faith Christian Academy exists to provide excellence in education with a biblical perspective for effectiveness in serving God and others.

History

Having recognized that there are great pressures that children in government schools bear and that they tend to erode certain spiritual values, Pastor David Auckland, founder of Faith Baptist Church, felt compelled to start a Christian school. It appeared obvious to him that God's timing for such a venture was in 1973.

Over 50 students were enrolled in kindergarten to fourth grade that first year. The school expanded to include nursery care and grades 5-9 in 1974, and well over one hundred students were matriculated that year. In 1975, the school expanded through the high school grades and had a total enrollment of 270 students. Early in 1977, a nursery school was added so that academic skills would be taught from age two. The present student enrollment from nursery school through twelfth grade is approximately three hundred.

Our school curriculum continues to expand. We offer Calculus and Trigonometry, Anatomy and Forensics, Honors English (10th - 12th grade), and a variety of other courses ranging from Accounting to Robotics. The school facilities have also grown as Faith Baptist Church has grown. We continue to update our facilities to provide an environment conducive to learning.

Our graduates now number over six hundred. They are literally dispersed around the entire world. We thank the Lord for all of our students who are serving Him.

Faith Christian Academy Doctrinal Statement

Faith Christian Academy is a ministry of Faith Baptist Church. The following are excerpts from our Church Constitution showing the basic beliefs of our church and school:

1. Scriptures: We believe that the scriptures, both the Old and the New Testaments, are the verbal, plenary, inspired Word of God; inerrant in the original writings, and are the only supreme and final authority in faith and life (II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:21).

2. Trinity: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, Acts 5:3, 4).

3. Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is the true God and true man (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Colossians 2:9).

4. Atonement: We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutional sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood (Romans 5:9; I Corinthians 15:1-4, 20-25; Hebrews 7:25).

5. Resurrection of Christ: We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord, His bodily ascension into Heaven, and His bodily presence there for us as a High Priest and Advocate (Acts 1:9-11, I Corinthians 15:1-4, 20-25: Hebrews 7:25).

6. Return of Christ: We believe in the blessed hope, the personal, bodily, pretribulational, premillenial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:44; John 14:1-3, II Thessalonians 2).

7. Salvation: We believe that all who truly repent of their sins and believe and receive, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and are thereby children of God and are eternally saved (John 3:3; Galatians 3:24-26; I John 5:13).

8. Satan: We believe that Satan is literal and personal, the agent of the fall, the prince of power of this world, and that he shall be judged and eternally punished (Ephesians 2:1-4; Revelation 20:2-10).

9. Eternal State: We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust; the eternal, conscious punishment of the lost and the eternal joy of the saved (I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 20).

10. Baptism: We believe that immersion is the only mode of baptism taught and commanded in the Scriptures; that it has no saving power and that the new birth, which comes through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, is the scriptural prerequisite to baptism. Therefore, only those who are old enough to believe for themselves should be baptized (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-5).

11. The Lord's Table: We believe that the Lord's Supper is a memorial of the death of Christ and that only those who have been saved through faith in His atoning blood and are walking in obedient fellowship with Him should partake of it. We do not believe in closed communion (I Corinthians 11:23-32).

12. Separation: We believe that all the saved are called into a life of separation from every worldly and sinful practice (Romans 12:1-2; James 4:4; I John 2:15-17).

School Profile

Enrollment  We have just over three hundred students from our kindergarten to twelfth grades. Learning takes place in a coeducational setting.

Faculty  We offer one class per grade level in the elementary. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 20 faculty members for our seventh through twelfth grades.

Financial Aid  Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

Service Area  Most of our students come from the Quakertown and Pennridge communities. Students travel from as far as Allentown, Central Bucks, Upper Perk and North Penn areas.

Lifestyle  Students who would like to give back to their community may do so in several ways. Our Fellowship of Christian Athletes has collected money and athletic equipment to be distributed to inner-city children in cooperation with the Philadelphia Phillies organization.  Several classes have helped at soup kitchens and have collected clothes and blankets for the less fortunate. Our National Honor Society has done work with Habitat for Humanity, local churches in the Philadelphia area, Sellersville Parks, and local shelters.

Spiritual  Faith Christian Academy views itself as an integral part in assisting the student spiritually, academically and socially. Along with the parents and the church, we strive to see our students strengthen their walk with Christ and their preparedness to impact their community. We offer Bible classes, chapel, and an assortment of other activities for students to participate in to reach the following spiritual goals:

  • to reach a clear understanding of salvation through Jesus Christ
  • to spread the gospel throughout the world
  • to have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • to impact their community/world for Jesus Christ
